January Class Pictures

Stamping friends, here are the 4 projects we made at the January card class.

Love You Luminary: I use the electric tea lights for safety. I also did not put a bottom on so it can easily fold to be put a way or even be given in an envelope. The size of mine was 3" x 10-1/2". I scored at a 1/2" and then 2-1/2 inche intervals 'til the end.

Punch Art Lion Card: Inspired by http://www.mychicnscratch.com/2009/05/lion-punch.html

Purple Valentine Card: Used the "Roll with the Punches" technique. I learned this technique from Stampin' Success December 2008 issue (a monthly publication for SU! demonstrators)

Heart Cup Card: I c.a.s.e.d this card from the SU! January Newsletter. I just mixed up the colors.

Hope you enjoyed them & hope to see you at February's class. I'm offering the same class twice this month once on the 6th (this coming Saturday) and again on Wednesday the 10th. As always if you have any questions just call/write :)

Happy New Year!

I hope 2010 is off to a good start. I just had my January Card Class this past Wednesday. I will be posting the pictures of the projects from it this week, so check back. Also, I just found a great refrence for using the new Scallop Trim Border and Scallop Trim Corner punches from Stampin' Up! I am still getting the hang of these punches myself. I personally prefer starting with a paper that I know will fit the punches properly (although you don't have to) so it was nice to find this blog with all the dimensions mapped out (big time saver). So if you like the punches be sure to check out Grechen Barron's Guide for Cutting Squares and Rectangles with the Scallop Trim Border and Corner Punces.
